Crispin Glover / Simon Says
Crispin Glover, one of the Hollywood guys with a seriously strange name. You all probably know him from many many movies he did. According to the so called ‘internet’ his most famous roles were in “Back to the future” and “Beowulf” and other stuff. It’s not that I wouldn’t have seen those movies, I absolutely did. Unfortunately I don’t remember having him seen ever but in “Simon Says”.
“Simon Says” is definitely one of my alltime favorite movies and this role of his as the psycho twins is one of the most creepy roles ever. The plot is simple as any teen movie could be. A group of teenagers goes to the woods for camping and they meet a strange guy at the truckstop. Turns out this guy is one of two psycho twins who spent their whole life butchering stuff. Also themselves but I didn’t really get this dramatic point at the story, doesn’t matter how often I watched it.
So to me all that guy is, are the twins. No matter what he will play – like ever – he will always bethe creepy psycho twin.
Sikandar
Sikandar (Parzan Dastur) is just a young boy. His parents were killed years ago but he lives with a caring family who just wants to see him succeeding in school and get a good life. The only thing that stands in his way is the mobbing at the school yards, the pressure of a few idiots liek every teenager meets them once in a while. Unfortunately Sikandar lives right in the middle of the Kashmeer conflict and violence comes closer in reach when he finds a gun somewhere in the forest.
Emily
Emily is such a lucky girl. She’s got a house for her own and she doesn’t need to go to school, all the kids are jealous …
Ready? Ok!
Joshua (Lurie Poston) wants nothing more in the world than to become a cheerleader. The only problem is: Nobody else allows him to be one. The Christian school he goes to, forbids boys to join the team and although he really fits in and is best friends with all the girls, his mother (Carrie Preston) does not allow it either. She wants him to keep on wrestling when all the wants to work out is dancing skills.
The only ones who understand his passion are his grandma and his gay neighbour Charlie (Michael Emerson) and they support him as best as they can. But Single Ma Andy has her own problems when suddenly her brother Alex (John G. Preston) shows up again to move in because he can’t pay his rent and find a job.
